Throw Them Out!

Feb 09, 2008 Posted Under: opinion, politics

What an interesting week in politics. If you are a conservative you have no one to vote for and if you are liberal, you have three to vote for. I cannot in good conscience vote for John McCain just to see Mrs. Clinton or Obama lose. This election is already lost if you are a conservative like me. I see two possible scenarios this election and both are not good.

The first would be for Mrs. Clinton, or Obama to win by a landslide because conservatives will not vote for McCain period. The other is that John McCain wins because Democrats vote for him because a large percentage of them are either racist or against women. I think this is a higher probability than people may think. The media likes to paint Republicans as racists, or sexists but in reality you hear more racism from Democrats than you ever hear from Republicans. I really believe that there are many in the Democratic party that hate the thought of someone black, or a woman being in office and may actually vote for McCain because he is every bit as liberal as Mrs. Clinton, and Obama and he is a white male. Lets not forget Mr. Robert Byrd, Senator of West Virginia once belonged to the Ku Klux Klan but gets a free pass because he is Democrat.

The media just does not get the distrust of John McCain by conservatives. They somehow think that he will be able to win them over but they are wrong. Mr. McCain has worked at least the last ten years fighting against Republicans on every front but refusing to change parties. Most in the Republican party call him a RINO, short for Republican in name only. He reaches across to Democrats over and over again while slapping the Republicans in the face. If you notice, any time legislation is ever introduced with his name attached, it is also joined with a Democrat, not a Republican. Remember McCain-Feingold, McCain-Kennedy?

I can speak on behalf of many Republicans in saying that he will have zero support from conservatives no matter what he does. If the election approaches and it looks as though he may win, I may consider voting for the Democrat side to keep him from winning. Remember this is a lost cause anyway. I am not crazy.

If any of you think I am imagining all this, just look at the media’s love affair with McCain. Most anyone that has any common sense and honest with themselves would have to admit the media is as left wing as you can get. The fact that they love John McCain is evidence of his stand on issues. The media likes to tell the world he is a war hero from Vietnam to distract people from his policies. Come on people Vietnam has been over for more than 30 years! Many people that I know, will vote for Huckabee knowing he will not win just because they want to show the Republican leaders they are tired of this stabbing them in the back. I think voting for the least of the two evils must stop. Democrats will vote for their guy no matter how bad he or she stabs them in the back. I think Republicans need to know, they represent us conservatives and have been failing miserably at it. We need to willingly give it to the other side to teach them that they cannot just depend on our vote out of fear of the other side winning.

If we allow the Republicans to do us wrong over and over again and not hold them accountable, then we may as well vote for the Democrat. I have already written this election off because for we conservatives there is no candidate running. I am tired of holding my nose and voting for the least of the two evils. I am tired of Republican candidates telling us they are conservative and support Christian values and then they get in there and sell us out. No, it is time Republicans learn from their constituencies who they represent. Lets not just let the Democrats over power us but lets send a clear message to them that it was Republicans the threw them out and not just Democrats. If the candidate does not represent those who put them there then they need to be gone. If you think I am an isolated case, then you need to listen to Rush Limbaugh, or Sean Hannity, Savage, Levin and you will see these feelings are wide spread.

Lets not stop at the presidency… If you have a conservative politician in your local area, then encourage them to run for Congress. Do not re-elect those liberal Republicans that have no spine and side with liberal Democrats. If they are liberal, then throw them out. Since this election is a lost cause, do not let this defeat you. It is time to use this as an opportunity to clean house and send a clear message that Republicans are the ones throwing them out. This way, any future conservatives will understand they have a responsibility to represent those that voted for them.
