Beacon of Hope

Beacon of Hope

If you have driven near Bricktown just East of I-235 you may have noticed this bright beam of light shining into the sky.  This beam is called the Beacon of Hope and it is a one million (1,000,000) candle light beam of light.  This is a monument installed by the Oklahoma Health Sciences Center of the University of Oklahoma.  This is in Stiles Park and just north East of downtown.  On a cloudy night I can see this beam of light shining on the clouds from my house.  The Beacon of Hope is more than 100 feet tall and close to ten feet wide.
