Has Obama Lost His Mind?

I have been clear many times that I am not a big fan of our current president but he has decided that he wants people to “flag” their neighbors if they send them an email against his take over of the heath care system.  In a story called “Facts Are Stubborn Things” on the whitehouse.gov site he tells people to forward any emails they think are fishy to flag@whitehouse.gov.  They put it in a way that makes it sound as though they cannot track all the “disinformation” going on out there so citizens need to forward their neighbors emails to the White House.  Since the White House does not have the authority to do anything with these emails, there is nothing they can do with it.  But I believe the real purpose in doing this is not to actually take any action but rather intimidate those that oppose his policies from speaking out.  This policy is contrary to the First Amendment’s guarantee of freedom of speech.

I believe it is their intention to intimidate those that are uneducated into believing that if they speak out, then they will be put on some watch list.  Well I would like to make this my formal “flagging” of myself because I oppose the health care policy.  It is just like I was saying in my “Reform is a dirty word” post, these guys accuse their opponents of spreading disinformation all the while they are spending this country into bankruptcy.  It is interesting to note that in a day when they talk about how the economy is in shambles they also want to raise taxes and come up with a plan that will be astronomical in price.  They speak out of both sides of their mouths when they preach how the world is coming to an end economically all the while proposing new programs that will cost the American tax payer in ways never thought possible.

One thing that you can always count on when a liberal gets into office is that they will want to implement a stimulus package just like Mr. Clinton did.  Then they will raise taxes and create more social programs.  Any time a person dares to oppose it, they start to intimidate people.  This “flagging” people is just one more attempt to do this.  Again, I feel that every time I go against something the current occupant in the White House says I have to give my disclaimer.  My opposition to Obama’s policies or the Democrats in general is in no way an endorsement of the Republican party.  I am almost as suspect of everything they do as I am the Democrats.  As a conservative, I cannot endorse either of them.  I am hopeful yet doubtful that Obama will wake up and have some common sense.
