This is a time lapse video of the new crane going up on February 21, 2010 for the construction of Devon Energy’s new World Headquarters in Oklahoma City. If you look on the left, you can see the foot print of the tower with pillars protruding from the ground. This new tower is going to be 50 floors at 850 feet at a cost of $750 million. Construction began October 6, 2009 and is expected to be complete in 2012. It is great to see this type of development going on while we hear about our economy being so bad. We have been pretty fortunate here in Oklahoma City as our economy has not been hit as bad as other places, at least not yet. Our housing market is still booming with new homes being built all over the city. I am very thankful that things have not been as bad as they could be. I thought this video was pretty cool and I wanted to share it.
