Not A Lot of Time

Aug 13, 2012 Posted Under: Personal, social networking

With buying a house last year and us trying to get serious on paying off all debts, time has been something that we’ve not had a lot of time.  Blogging takes time to think what you want to say, post, edit, etc. The blog tends to get neglected during this time and most of my time tends to go to social networks because the posts are short and I don’t have to put a lot of time in thought and typing them out.  For that reason, I think I may see if there is a way to aggregate all of my social networking posts into this blog so that you can at least see what is going on.  I’ve see where some people do this but have not figured out how to do it because of a lack of time.  I use Facebook, Google+, Twitter quite extensively from my phone.  If any of you know a good way to aggregate these onto a static web site, let me know.

I absolutely do not want to give up the blog simply because I’ve not been on here that much because as  you may have noticed, social networks come and go. Eventually you have to migrate over to a new one and then some of  your contacts never seem to make it over to the new location. Then  you have some that are stubborn and will not migrate over and then there are those that do not trust social networking sites.  Having your own domain is perfect because it is a steady location where people can find you. It is real easy to post locations for your other social networking sites, or online presences from your domain.  So that makes the decision easy.  I will always have a domain as long as I can afford one. I’ve had one since 1998 and plan on keeping it as long as I can.  Thanks for your patience.
