It is that wonderful weekend again. This is the first long weekend since Independence Day in July and it is very welcome. I took off work today, and next Tuesday to make this a five day weekend. I am going to try to get some school work done. Yesterday was a little strange because our shop was split in two with some going to one supervisor and the rest to another supervisor. I am ready for some time off.

This morning my wife has to have a procedure done at the hospital so I am going to wake her up at 8:30 AM. She cannot eat before the procedure so she wants to sleep as long as she can before having to get up. It is hard to to believe that it is the is the last day of August because it seems this year has really gone fast. It is amazing to think that my oldest son will be 18 in a little over a year. The time sure gets away. I think he has already found his mate for life. I know most people would say that teenagers will not last but in this case I am not so sure. She is a very good person and a good influence on him.

It is 7:00 AM and what a perfect morning. There is birds singing, and dew on the grass, and cool. Although it has still been warm, I can feel a sense of fall coming. I love the atmosphere. I know the kids probably do not enjoy going back to school but they are adjusting well. The both just left for school a few minutes ago. I will keep you up to date on anything new that happens.
