You Think I Am Making This Up?

Recently I spoke on this blog about how people on the left are trying to silence their critics.  You may remember the post labeled “Has Obama Lost His Mind?”.  In this post I highlighted how there was an attempt to silence those who would dare to oppose this joke they refer to as health care reform.  In that post I spoke about how Obama was hoping to intimidate anyone who would speak out against him with a new program where people are asked to report their neighbors to flag@whitehouse.gov.  It is interesting to note the address is to “flag” people, or take note, highlight, or bring attention to as though they are someone to be concerned about.  Today I stumbled on an outrageous story called “Experts Warn of Increase in Anti-Government Groups in U.S.”, or I should say that a Twitter message from KWTV was thrown into my email box.

In this story is another tactic of the liberal/progressive/left and that is to discredit anyone that opposes them as some sort of extremist.  Someone that is unworthy to listen to because they are mentally unstable and dangerous.  This story explains that in America there are conditions that exist that could result in dangerous extremist right wing groups gaining power. If they are able to paint those that oppose them as someone to fear then they have nullified their positions.

It is interesting to note that in this story on KWTV’s web site, it speaks of people being angry about illegal immigration and having the first African American president.  This is an absolutely outrageous claim and I think KWTV should apologize for even suggesting such a thing.  The truth is that most people have no problem with the color of any elected official’s skin but rather disagree with policy.  This story has a multi pronged purpose and that is to divide white against black, and to discredit anyone who would dare to oppose Obama’s policies.  The source of this story is the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), an organization that is famous for its left wing ties and is completely subjective.  This organizations entire purpose is to keep people of race angry.  They are there to inflame people of color and convince them that white America is against them and that is completely not true.  The facts are counter to this and they know it.

It is no surprise to anyone in this country that Michael Jackson’s death was the biggest story of the year.  Michael Jackson had a huge following by white people and in fact more white people bought his records than black.  It is no surprise to me that Bill Cosby would have the number one television show in the 1990’s and most of his viewers are white.  It was white people that elected Barack Obama as well. The purpose in my pointing this out is to illustrate that the vast majority of Americans want blacks to succeed and are not racist against them.  Yes there are individual racist people and there always will be but the majority are not.  The liberal Democrats are shameless in their exploitation of issues like this in an attempt to silence those that disagree with them. Another interesting point in this story is when they say fifteen years ago the SPLC wrote then Attorney General Janet Reno to warn about these extremist groups just six months before the Oklahoma City bombing.  Did you catch the common denominator? Janet Reno was Bill Clinton’s appointee and a Democrat.

My point in all this is that if you follow the sources of these types of stories you will see they have a similar root and that is from the Democrat”ic” party.  Just as the “Fairness Doctrine” always resurfaces when a Democrat is in charge.   The Fairness Doctrine is another way liberals try to silence those that disagree with them.  It is a failed policy of the past that requires broadcasters to give equal time to controversial subjects or subject themselves to a law suit.  The end result is that broadcasters avoid anything political in an attempt to avoid a law suit.  In this way, the news is the only source of information and as we all know it has become nothing more than a left wing editorial.

As I do in most of my political stories, I will add my disclaimer.  This disclaimer is to point out that my addressing the indiscretions of the Democrats is in no way an endorsement of the Republican party.  My distrust of the Republican party has grown over the last few years as well.  I just wanted to point out the outrageousness of these types of stories because they are so predictable.  They happen every time there is a Democrat in office.  These types of stories are strategically placed to discredit any dissent as some sort of crazed mob.  It is very clear the media has been going full force in their coverage of these town hall meetings.  I think it would be safe to say that many of those that are in these town hall meetings are actually left leaning but appear on television to sound as crazy as they can to get people to think all dissent is crazy.

I for one think it is a tragedy that our two party system has become so galvanized that people would rather vote for a party than for what is right.  People are more concerned with the “R” or “D” designator at the end of their name than they are about getting the most ethical candidate.  As I have spoken before, my opposition to government programs is that it is nothing more than buying votes.  Secondly once a government program is in place, they are always bureaucratic, inefficient and ALWAYS have strings attached.  Any time you accept money from the government, you are giving up freedoms because their will be strings attached.

I would hope that KWTV would not stoop to going to left wing political sources like the SPLC when writing a story.  This attempt at silencing the dissenting voices as extremist is shameful.  Yes there are crazies in every crowd but the majority of those dissenting voices are genuinely concerned about preserving our freedom.  Freedom from a repressive government, freedom from debt, and freedom of speech.  Most dissenting people are opposed to violent behavior. We will not be silenced!  We will remember those that would take our freedoms at the election booth and not through violence.

Cash For Clunkers

There is a many reasons that I do not like liberal politics.  Of those reasons is one that really offends me and that is the act of buying votes.  Politicians on the liberal end of the spectrum make a living off of people’s real and perceived hardships.  These liberal politicians like to exploit those “alleged” hardships by campaigning to fix the woes of the world.  Of course the only way in their mind that you can fix the woes of the world is to throw more money at the problem.  These liberal politicians have no intention of actually fixing the problems but rather just want to use them to get elected.  They do this by two different methods and those are actually putting money into something or proposing something that is so outrageous to the opposition that it never gets passed.  Let me elaborate on these tactics.

In some cases these liberal politician will create programs like this “Cash for Clunkers” program and advertise the merits of cleaning up the environment and helping the economy.  This program is just like many others that liberals propose in that it never actually fixes anything.  It throws the public a bone of other people’s money so that ignorant Americans will vote for this politician.  The end result is that the American people are being played to get this character elected using their own money.  This game plays over and over again with liberal politicians.  The actual result of these programs does nothing but cost the tax payers millions of dollars while putting the money into the dealership’s hands.  Anyone knows that $4,500 dollars on the purchase of a new car does not even make a dent in the price of the car especially when the dealership just does what they always do and that is mark up the price of the car to offset the trade in.  Anytime you trade in a car to a dealership you are just “GIVING” them your car.  These dealerships make so much profit on these cars that your trade in is irrelevant in the big scheme of things.

The other method that liberals do that also always works is their policy of proposing new programs that will cost so much money that it will never get past.  They know it will never get past when they propose it but the real purpose in proposing it is to blame the opposition for putting your grandmother out on the street.  They want to blame the opposition for causing homelessness, racism, or any host of world problems.  In a similar way they misrepresent the word “cut” when arguing politics.  Many programs are designed to automatically increase budget spending based on the rate of growth of inflation.  As the economy slows and the price of products decrease, the cost of living decreases in the same way.  When this automatic increase would outgrow the cost of living increase they are supposed to decrease their growth rate.  I cannot remember how many times I have seen liberals crying in Congress claiming the opposition wants to cut programs to the underprivileged. This decrease in the growth rate is portrayed as an actual cut when reported to the media.  The liberals successfully paint their opponents as being insensitive.

These cuts in growth are still growths in spending yet they are portrayed as cuts to “alleged” critical programs.  As I said above, many of these programs never really help anyone but just throw the people a bone to get their votes.  These programs are just a means to give the impression that they are trying to fix things while the ignorant public gets played over and over again.  In any group of people you are going to have a variety of types of people.  Some will naturally prosper, some will live comfortably but not be wealthy while others will struggle.  Within this group of people that are struggling you will also have a variety of reasons they are struggling.  Some will be injured, have doctor bills, some will have been victims of crimes, and some will be un-motivated.  In either case, liberals get power by catering to this group of people and throwing them a bone.  Because many, not all of those in this group are less educated than others, they are unaware of basic math.  If they were aware of the money that was actually being spent on these programs compared to the number of people in this country they would oppose most of these programs.  The reason that I say this is that much of this money if wit were put into a pool and divided equally among every American would end up with every American, man, woman, and child having multiple millions of dollars.

They would have more money in their pockets if this money were just divided equally among the people.  My point in all this is that just as in most government programs, the bulk of the money goes into overhead and into certain groups of people and a small portion actually goes to the “alleged” intended target.  One thing that I failed to mention in this post is the fact that another truth in the world is that some people just cannot manage money responsibly.  If all this money were indeed divided equally among all Americans, there would still be those that would be living in poverty.  In those cased you would have some people that would squander the money away and then STILL expect the government to bail them out.  Let’s keep everything in perspective and remember the government has NO money but rather extorts money from tax payers.  Yes, I correctly used the word extortion because by definition they are forcing money from unwilling participants through threats and intimidation.   If you think I am just making this up, just do not pay your taxes this years and tell me if you get any threats for non payment.

Anyway, this seemed to be the story of the day on the news and I had to give my take on the program.  This is just another program intended to buy votes and not really help anyone just like this “stimulus” fiasco.  Just another money grab from working people to pay off those that got them elected all the while buying more votes from your tax dollars.  The phrase “business as usual” seems to apply to this program.

Bill Clinton Jr.

During the 1990’s I stayed sick most of the time with an upset stomach.  It took me a long time to understand why I was so persistently ill.  I guess it was somewhere around 1996 when it finally occurred to me that it was seeing Bill Clinton’s ugly mug that was doing it to me.  I have never seen anyone that loved attention like this guy.  He was worse than my dog.  I could not go to the grocery store without seeing his ugly face on every magazine, news show, and half the late night comedy shows.  Mr. Clinton was on TV every day of the year bashing the evil Republicans over and over and over again.  I was so glad to see his last day in office because I just got tired of seeing him.

Of course then we elected George W. Bush for two terms.  I was so disappointed with his allowing this Iraq situation to ruin the conservative movement.  I do not think he is a bad person at all but I do think he lacks communications skills.  If you cannot communicate, then it really does not matter what you stand for because no one knows you.  George W. Bush decided to go with this “new tone” policy where he would not stand up and shove their liberal agenda back in their faces like Bill Clinton did for eight years.  He sat back while the media mocked him and us.  I was so disappointed in his presidency.  I personally hold him responsible for squandering eight years and getting Bill Clinton Jr. elected.

By now you may be asking what I mean by Bill Clinton Jr.  Well it is clearly about Barack Obama’s attempt at being Bill Clinton.  He is well on his way to becoming the second coming of Bill Clinton.  He loves the spotlight and becoming a regular fixture on TV, newspapers, and magazine.  He is more concerned about seeing his ugly mug on TV just like Mr. Clinton.  It has only been two months and it is already getting old.  He is walking in Clinton’s footsteps with his joke they refer to as a stimulus package.  This is not a stimulus to the economy but rather a stimulus to his buddies that gave money to his candidacy just like Clinton’s stimulus.  Obama and Clinton are gifted in their ability to say what you want to hear without having any substance.  I am so tired of seeing him on TV every day.  This is why I change the channel the moment his face appears just like I did with Clinton.  I have found that I am a much happier person when I turn off the news.  For that reason, I am watching DVR tonight and not watching the propaganda that is spewing from Obama and the news.

Barack Obama

The inauguration of the President of the United States is less than a week away and the significance of this event is such that it is difficult to measure.  When you add to this significance the realization that we are inaugurating the first black President in our country’s history it takes on an even greater significance.  The events of the next week are sure to be a great event that will be spoken of for generations though I find myself with mixed feelings.  For the millions of blacks in this country this is a dream come true that a race that has struggled to gain equality now has a candidate in the white house.  As a conservative I am deeply concerned with this particular President’s liberal stand on many issues.  As much as this concern is there I will choose to celebrate this joyous occasion with the blacks of this country.  I would like to believe that many blacks will see this event as confirmation that they can be whatever they want to be.  There is no white conspiracy to hold them back.  This is not to say there are no racists in our country but rather to say that opportunities are there for them.

Even if you are white like me, I think you should allow yourself to be happy for them despite any political affiliation.  I know some of you are saying… but…but…he’s liberal and will destroy our nation!”  You know what?  I am going to make a conscious decision to put this in God’s hands and know that we will survive.  There is an entire race in this country that has grown up feeling they will never be able to go anywhere in life because of this racial divide.  Although I think much of it is exaggerated by the media there is still racism alive today.  The significance of this event next week is symbolic f in so many ways.  Those of you that know me well can attest to my reluctance to go with the crowd.  You also know how strongly I feel about conservative agendas.  I have found many people at work that have Obama posters on their desks.  I have found that many people worship this guy to a point that it makes me sick.  Again this is my nature to go against the crowd.

If and when Barack Obama puts policies that I disagree with, I will be the first to say so but this is not the time.  The impact of this event never really hit me until this afternoon when I was listening to the radio and heard someone  who was black and clearly emotional describing the culmination of many civil rights events leading up to this day.  I never thought of how they felt and how important this event was for them.  So for this day I am going to sit there on January 20th and see this event as the first black President and enjoy this moment with them.    I will not get caught up in the liberal versus conservative thing for this because that will come later.  I am not selling out my values on this.  I believe that no one becomes President without God’s approval.  I believe that God wants us to respect our leaders not as men pleasers.  I ask that my conservative friends put aside this political argument for this event and let them have their day.  Why not let it be our American day?

We have a history of slavery that haunts us every day.  It is difficult for me to imagine this 2009 that we ever endorsed slavery but the history is there.  The events of January 20th are a way to heal some wounds.  I know it will not heal all of them but it is huge dare I say astronomical event to have this day.  Never again will anyone be able to say we have never had a black President.  Never again will black kids be able to say they cannot be President.  The magnitude of this date whether you like Barack Obama personally or not cannot be denied.  Many of us can remember the words of Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream speech that in his dream people would be measured by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.  As I am certain to have differences with Mr. Obama in the future I would like to be clear they will be policy differences and not based on the color of his skin.

Everyone please do not let this Democrat versus Republican battle ruin this experience next week.  Allow you to ignore the policies for a day and enjoy the moment on behalf of millions of blacks in this country.  Allow yourself to sympathize with them over the the tears you are likely to see on television.  Barack Obama is very liberal and I know this.  I know I will disagree with his policies but I think it would be a disservice to everyone including myself to not allow you to feel for the many that will be watching on the sidelines.  I remember seeing people with tears at the sight of Elvis Presley.  Just imagine the emotion that millions of black Americans will be experiencing that day.  I can see it in my mind right now with tears in their eyes.  This will be their day and to deny them of this would be tragic.

Do Not Worry About the Economy

I hear concerns every day about the economy.  People worry unecessarily all the time because they watch the news.  I am old enough to have experienced several recessions and one thing that always seems to be common with each of them is that the media always says “this one is different” or “this one is going to be the worst”. I highly doubt that this will be the worst. Despite people’s political views if we were honest we would have to admit that the media has a larger impact on our economy than either political party’s policies. The media hates Republicans and therefore will portray everything negative when a Republican is in office. They will beat a dead horse day in and day out until everyone believes the sky is falling. Since they REALLY REALLY hate George Bush, they have gone out of their way to portray the world as even worse this time.

Since they influence people’s opinions and scare people to death this results in a self fulfilling prophecy. People get scared and stop buying resulting in companies losing sales, stocks fall, and all the other events that happen when people are afraid they are going to lose their money. The terrible economy has zero to do with the policies of who is in office. Maybe not zero but I would say very little.

The good news for the economy is that they love Barack Obama. I mean the really love him. When he is inaugurated the media will portray the world as a “world of hope”. The great Obama will fix the woes of the world and all will be well. This is not necessarily true but since the media loves this guy they will get everyone to believe it and they will gain confidence. They will begin to buy again and the economy will grow. The people will believe that Barack Obama is the second coming of Christ (Joke) for fixing all the problems of the world. The end result is that the economy will improve. His policies will have little to no impact on any of this but people will think it will. Most people that follow politicians do not even know what their policies are.

I would not worry too much about the economy as the media has their man and they will have the world thinking we have reached a new Utopia and the people will believe it and start becoming active in the economy. There will always be those on the far left and the far right that will hate or love their respective candidates no matter what the media does but the average person to their own detriment will take the media at face value. This is not an attempt to put down Obama but to point out that the media has a bigger impact on the economy than the the President. They will never admit they have this power but anyone that pays attention knows this.

More AP Bias

AP Bias

You may remember that I posted just last week about how irrelevant the AP is in reporting just about anything.  I took a screenshot of Yahoo’s News this morning where it posted an AP story about Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford winning the Heisman Trophy last night.  As you can see in the photo above it is titled “Oklahoma’s Bradford wins Heisman Trophy”.  You may notice the picture included in the story is Colt McCoy, the Texas quarterback and the media’s love child.  This is pretty typical of what you see day to day with the media.  They are so angry that the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) has rated the Sooners number one by computers.  They are so enamoured by the South Eastern Conference (SEC) and their poster boy that they cannot eve bring themselves to put the winner’s picture on the story that bares his name. Their dislike of the Sooners is displayed by their putting Mr. McCoy’s picture on there after we have heard about how Texas was cheated by the BCS.  As I spoke before, there is no legitimate way to see who is the best when you only play a team once.  Anyone can have a bad day.  Again, the sports aspect of this is not that big a deal for me but rather the lack of objectivity on the news.

This should not surprise anyone as the AP is typical of the main stream media’s agenda reporting.  I have noticed an overwhelming bias against Israel with the AP.  Their vicious hatred for Israel is only surpassed by their hatred of anyone with conservative values.  You can pick your topic and the AP will purposely only tell the side of the story that benefits their cause.  They will misrepresent any cause they disagree with and never apologize when they get it wrong.  They get it wrong more than they get it right so I can understand this because they would be apologizing all the time.  I am not a crazy sports fan like many Sooner fans are but this story is just as blatant as they come.

This is precisely why I listen to virtually every news story I hear with skepticism.  I rarely take what I hear on the news at face value even when it is on video.  This is because they edit the videos to only show the parts that benefit their cause.  An example of this is their coverage of the Rodney King beating.  They only show the part where the police are beating him.  They neglect to show the part where he was assaulting the police just prior to this.  They barely even mention less than a year later that Rodney King was arrested for trying to run over a police officer in his car.  Rodney King is a career criminal that was used as a tool for the media to complete their mission to drive a wedge between groups of people.  In this case the entire agenda was to rile up the black population while failing to report the entire story.

I could go on all day citing events that are deliberately misreported by the left wing media and the AP.  The purpose of this post is to illustrate examples of their blatant bias.  I do not dwell on this too much because all it serves to do is keep everyone upset all the time.  I think it is worthy of pointing out though I would not allow yourself to be sucked into their game.  The media is not neutral in their reporting.  They will almost always support the liberal side of story and belittle those of conservative Christian values.  I would suggest you watch them with a critical eye as well and you will see it also.

Position Defined

As I browse through many social networking sites, I find myself taken back to 1992 when I was stationed at RAF Bentwaters in England. It was during this time when the presidential election had occurred and Mr. Bill Clinton had won.  I must tell you that I am both socially and fiscally conservative meaning that I support policies that are both socially and economically conservative.  As I have stated many times in the past, my measuring stick on what is right and wrong is the Bible.  In fact I use the King James Bible as my source.  During the 1992 presidential election I saw some traits about Bill Clinton that really bothered me.  I saw him as both a social and fiscal liberal.  It was his first act in office that confirmed my suspicion when he removed the restriction on the government paying for abortion at military facilities.  He instituted the “Don’t ask, Don’t tell” policy in the military relating to homosexuality in the military.  This policy was a compromise though he wanted open homosexuality in the military.

These were just a few examples of my distrust of the man.  My opposition to him was more socially than economic.  Again, I thought he was catering to the extreme left in this country and forcing policies on the country that were not welcome except in the most liberal areas of our country.  I spent eight years being angry at Bill Clinton.  I genuinely hated him for his stand on issues.  Many Christian friends of mine would point out to me that we are to pray for our leaders and not bad mouth them as I was doing.  This only made me more angry that my own group was piling on me or so I thought.  It was not until later after he left office that I realized they were right.  I was so angry and full of discontent with his leadership and hostility to everything I believed that I could not even be rational.  They were right in that I was wrong to hate him.

I spent eight years being angry when it was unnecessary.  This was followed up by the presidency of George W. Bush.  I voted for him twice and I must admit that I have been disappointed by him.  My disappointment is for just the opposite reasons the media dislikes him.  My problem with him is that he is not conservative enough.  I was involved in electing the Republican revolution in 1994 when they promised many conservative agendas.  They promised the “contract with America” with several policies they intended to pass in the first 100 days of Republican controlled Congress.  The media came after them with full force.  They called the agenda the “contract ON America” and successfully intimidated the Republican Senators and Representatives.  They went after the then Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich labeling him as a right wing extremist.  Since many in our country listen to the news media and actually believe they are neutral and have no agendas this tactic worked.

Despite having control of both houses of Congress, the Republicans were useless.  They cowered to the media fearing they too would be attacked.  What the Republicans failed to see was that whatever they do, it will always be painted as right wing extremism by the media.  They have taken the road of appeasement as opposed to getting anything conservative done.  With each election our Republican leaders have failed to deliver on promises to their conservative constituents.  They have promised the world and delivered nothing.  Their appeasement has worked in keeping their jobs though many in the conservative movement have reached the end of our trust of them.

John McCain was chief among these Republicans that turned on us while being a Senator.  Time after time he voted on key issues with the Democrats.  The media gave him the name “Maverick” and he wore it like a badge of honor.  I truly believe that to this day John McCain still fails to see where he went wrong.  He was elected, and reelected over and over again and turned his back on his constituents.  John McCain has earned the title RINO which stands for Republican in name only by many conservatives.  As time went on conservatives were left with no one to vote for.  There are many like myself that are tired of voting for the lesser of the two evils.  I have reached the point that I will not vote for someone just so the other candidate will not win.  I think it was time for our side to lose big so they will be reminded that they do have a constituency that they owe.  They will either back their constituency or not be reelected.

Along comes the 2008 election where Barack Obama wins the election.  I have mixed feelings with him.  There are many problems that I have with him and one of them is his mixed signals when it comes to his profession of Christianity.  He claims Christianity but then back peddles when asked to clarify that he is born again or even believes Jesus’ statement  that he is the way, the truth, and the life and that there is no way to get to God except through him.  Another is the unwavering support for his preacher Mr. Wright that is clearly racist and preaches racism in his own church.  Many times Mr. Obama claimed that he went to this church for 20 years and never had a problem.  Only when the heat was applied during the campaign when several unflattering videos of Mr. Wright appeared on Youtube did Obama retract that support.  It is my belief that this retraction was not genuine and Barack Obama does have the same racist beliefs as Mr. Wright.  It is hard for me to imagine going to a church that preached this message for more than 20 years and continuing to go if a person did not believe it.

Putting all this aside and taking the advice of my Christian friends who earlier told me to pray for our leaders I would like to say that I am willing to give Barack Obama a chance.  I am actually happy that we can say we have our first black presidents though I have extremely powerful reservation on his stand on issues.  I refuse to spend the next eight years being angry like I did in 1992.  I really believe God is in control and that Barack Obama can possibly be a good president with our prayers.  I am tired of playing all the political games.  I am tired of all the divisiveness and hate.  I choose to be happy and I encourage those conservative friends around me to do the same.  God is bigger than the situation and to deny that is denying his ability to reign.  After all, if you think about it, if John McCain would have won, you would have more of the same lip service while turning his back on us.  This election would have been another disappointment with John McCain in office as well.

This reminds me of a Veggy Tales episode that I saw when my kids were young.  Veggy Tales is a Christian cartoon where talking vegetables often told a moral story illustration God’s love and power.  There was an episode where one of the characters was scared of the “boogey man”.  The group sang a song “God is bigger than the boogey man”.  After all these years that kids show has stuck with me.  I am actually singing it inside :) .  The message of that song was so simple and is still true to this day.  I am not calling Barack Obama the boogey man by any means.  I do not see him as a bad man but rather a man with differing moral views than I have.  Nevertheless I believe with God in control, he can be a good leader.  I fully expect a lot of heat over my stand and that is fine with me.   I think having faith in God is way more important than being angry and ruining my family life.  The Bible said in Hebrews 11:6…

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Do you believe it?  I do!

I Am Inspired

What an election!  I bet you are surprised to hear me say that but I am really excited.  I am not happy to see Obama win the presidency by any means.  I am happy with a couple of other aspects of the election. You may remember one of my posts from back in February 2008 and another one in May when I was saying it was time to throw the liberal Republicans out.  Man I took a lot of heat for those posts.  I have spent most of my adult life voting for the lesser of the two evils.  You know what this has resulted in? We have been getting more and more liberal Republicans.  We have been getting Republicans that are not conservative like the people that have put them there.  Our wonderful liberal Republicans have been thumbing their noses at their own constituents with the attitude that we would never vote for the other guy.  I voted for the Republican revolution in 1994 and have been disappointed with them ever since.  They have coward to the media an achieved nothing conservative.  They have promised the Christians everything and delivered nothing.

This is why I say never vote for the lesser of the two evils.  This is what the Democrats do.  Their guy can stab them in the back 100 times and they will continue to vote for them.  Although this is a painful defeat, it is really a victory.  Our Republican leaders will no doubt get the message that their own have become fed up.  John McCain was the final straw with these Republicans that have told us one thing and then stabbed us in the back.  He made a grave error and that was to trust the left wing media and their praise of him being a “Maverick”.  They painted a picture of him standing up against corruption in the Republican party.  No, he turned his back on his party when they needed him.  I say good riddance Mr. McCain!  Take your buddy George W. Bush with you!  We need to get some conservative Republicans in there that will stand for the conservatives.  I do not care if they are Democrats if they are conservative.

The other positive point of yesterday’s election was the damage done to the civil rights movement.  I am not talking about those that genuinely want equality.  I am talking about the Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton types.  These guys make a living out of making victims out of black people.  Instead of encouraging black kids and telling them that they can do anything including being President of the United States, they whine and complain while asking for donations.  Those are the ones that took a hit last night.  This morning when I got up to go to work, I turned the computer on and saw a picture of Jesse Jackson with a tear on Yahoo.  Of course the intent of the story was to show that the dream of a black person becoming President had happened.  The irony about it was that it took away his ability to say the white man is keeping blacks down.

Although I am not a fan of Obama because of his liberal stand, I am glad that we can no longer claim to be a racist country.  There will always be a few that will be racist but our country as a whole has not been racist for over two decades.  I clearly remember the passion whites felt for Michael Jackson in the 1980’s.  That passion was there for Bill Cosby when he had the number one television show in America for several years.  I am happy for the black Americans in achieving that dream despite the fact it was a left wing liberal.  I am just as happy the left wing, spineless Republicans were sent such a powerful message.  Conservatives wake up and stop crying about the election and recognize this opportunity.  Also let’s not forget that ultimately God is in control and is not worried.

Be Optimistic

As much as it pains me to even think of Obama winning as President, I think it will take some arguments off the table in the future.  I am pretty confident he will win and that makes me sick to my stomach but in this happening it will help to squash this notion that we are a racist country.  I am not a racist and I think our country is not racist though there are individuals that are.  To say that we are a racist country ignores some obvious evidence to the contrary.  Our country is not all white but a large percentage of them are.  We tend to make shows about black families some of the most popular television programs around.  I used the word black and not African American because I see it as a politically correct term and nothing else.  I have made my opinions clear in the past on how I feel about political correctness.  It is destructive and serves no one.  It makes victims out of people for political gain and only ends up hurting the very people they purport to help.

I like to think of our country as being bigger than a president.  There are presidents that come and go but our country can outlive a bad president.  I do not like Obama at all as I think he is way to liberal for my taste and I do not want him to win.  From all indications, he will likely win anyway and that is okay.  Like I said, I think our country is bigger than one man.  The sad thing is that McCain is barely better than Obama.  With Obama winning, it gets the argument that we have never had a black president off the table.  This argument that we are racist and will never let a black president win can be an irrelevant argument.  I think we have black leaders and leaders in the media that do not want him to win because they can no longer legitimately say we are a racist country and have any credibility at all.  The reason it does not trouble me this time is because I do not like McCain either.  I feel that if we are going to have a lost election, we may as well enjoy getting this nagging issue off the table.

Our country will survive Obama, or McCain just like it survived Bill Clinton.  I do wish the best for blacks in America.  Look at the bright side…  There will be millions of black children across this country that will grow up believing they can achieve anything and not be brought down by the likes of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.  These guys are more concerned with making them victims and angering them than educating them to their potential.  You see what I mean?  This could actually do some good even though Obama is as liberal as they come.  I am very optimistic no matter how it turns out.  Do not fall into the Republican and Democrat stories of doom.  Each party spends a considerable amount of time telling you how the world will end if the other party wins.  I personally believe that all authority is given by God.  No matter how bad it looks, God is in control and his desires will be done in the end.

Liberal Strategy?

Liberal's Building a Strategy

DISCLAIMER:  I voted for George W. Bush both times.  I have been very disappointed in his leadership by allowing this war in Iraq to run his eight years and not get any conservative agendas past.  I think his lack of willingness, or ability to take a stand at the media and Democrats under the guise of the “New Tone” has made things worse.  I think he is not conservative enough.

I just loaded the Yahoo front page and happened to notice the headlines listed as you can see above.  This is reminescent of the 2000 presidential campaign where the media willingly swallowed the pill of the fabricated stories of voter fraud and racism.  Reach back into your memories when during the 2000 election George W. Bush won the vote count.  Our good friend Al Gore immediately tried to do recounts in selected counties that he believed supported him.  He was not concerned with fairness or he would have demanded a full recount in Florida.  Weeks before the election we kept hearing to watch Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.  Before the voting had concluded the left wing media started screaming about voter fraud that the ballot was so confusing that the clearly mental deficient Palm Beach residents voted for the wrong guy.  To this day it amazes me the depths the left wing media followed this story as though there was any credibility whatsoever.  They had a marketing firm out of Texas calling people before the polling places even closed telling people there was voter fraud.  We were told how the minorities were being turned away from the polls which is about as typical liberal trick is there is.  People say prostitution is the oldest profession?  They need to look at the liberal political ways.

The first recount favored George W. Bush.  The second recount favored George W. Bush in a smaller majority.  The third recount was finally stopped by the Supreme Court.  Immediately we started hearing from the left wingers that George W. Bush stole the election.  When you look at the situation, if it were not so serious it would be laughable.  The very people that were trying to cheat so they could get their guy in and failed after three recounts accused the winner of stealing the election.  We have listened to this nonsense for eight years.  The truth is that IF there was fraud, it was on their side.  They are the ones that ALWAYS oppose requiring an ID to vote.  In typical fassion they claim it hurts the minorities and poor.  Every time there is an initiative to change voting methods to eliminate these fabricated voting fraud stories they oppose it.  They are the ones that insist on allowing illegal immigrants to vote.  They are the ones that insist on allowing fellons to vote.  The reason for this is that they know these people will vote Democrat.

The above photo is evidence of the Democrats and their good buddies in the media are planning on doing this again.  The first story tells of a major shift in white women to McCain.  The media has been bragging for some time that Obama had this group locked up.  This story is followed by the story of 300,000 people in New Jersey being told they are not registered.  Do you see what is beginning?  I am certain the Democrats are already signing the contract with the telemarking firm to make calls before the polls close to warn of voter fraud.  This way if they lose, they can start their screaming about nonexistant voter fraud.  Why wouldn’t they?  I mean it worked so well last time.  The in typical fashion media has followed the Democrat line and not question any of these unfounded claims.  They never do as indicated by this humorous satiracal video about how Larry King does not even question stupid claims.

This video is not new but it illustrates how the liberals can claim ANYTHING and the media does not question the validity.  The first time I heard this about ten years ago I was so amazed at how realistic this really is.  Anyway, this should be interesting to see how it turns out.
