Disclaimer: This is supposed to be a humorous attempt to show how the media can make anything into racial event.

Americans, we have been faced by the greatest form of racism the world has ever known with the onset of the H1N1 virus. This virus was created by white males in their attempt to get the West Nile virus off the news. As most of you have probably noticed that six months ago the West Nile virus was the worst disease in history if you were to watch the news media. Now the West Nile has taken a back seat to the new swine flu, or H1N1. Experts are beginning to see a racial component to the proliferation of the swine flu. The swine flu is deliberately attacking blacks and Mexicans and must be stopped. Just read this story from the objective MSNBC. The fair and balanced reporting of the Los Angeles Times also echoes the horror imposed on our brothers and sisters of color. The Boston Globe is also among the many that are shining a light on this E-VIL virus attacking minorities. Just search the Internet for “Swine Flu and Minorities” and you will see that I am not making this up. I have even heard reports that a swine flu virus molecule was seen under a microscope wearing a white hood dancing around a camp fire.

The swine flu is single handedly responsible for the growth of right wing malitias around the United States. Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck are out trying to advocate the mass spreading of this racist disease. Talk radio is the avenue that has been used to spread this disease as scientists have discovered how flu molecules can attach themselves to radio signals infecting entire black families. If this swine flu is not stopped soon, the only people that will be left will be anglo-saxon males. The last statement was not a mistake as this virus also attacks women as well. The West Nile virus was a predominately white disease and for this reason, executives in smoke filled rooms have conspired to bury this story while engaging in the proliferation of the H1N1. As if this was not enough, it has recently been discovered that union workers are more than twice as likely to get the swine flu than non union workers.

Americans, I plead with you to write your Congress person to address this right wing disease aimed at hurting black union workers. The seriousness of this crisis cannot be overstated. African American children are being left orphaned and homeless as a result of this racist, and dare I say E-VIL disease. Do your part to stand up and take a stand to right this wrong. Your neighbor of color is depending on your action. If you have any compassion at all, you must take a stand and do your part to stamp out this racist that plagues this nation. The very lives and careers of your neighbors are at stake.

One thing that is amazing to me how Jimmy Carter’s desperation to stay in the spotlight would cause him to say people that oppose Barack Obama’s policies are driven by race. This week Jimmy Carter has been making many public appearances all over the media telling anyone that would listen that the fierce opposition to Obama is driven by the color of his skin.

“I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man,” Carter told NBC News.

This statement is presumptuous at best and an outright lie at worst. There is no evidence of the opposition to his policies being based on the color of his skin. It is shameful that it is Democrats that scream racism all the time yet they are the first ones to notice the color of a person’s skin. Is it that difficult to believe that someone could disagree with his policies simply on the policies themselves? There is a fundamental difference of opinion between liberals/socialists and conservatives. I know there are many people that tune out at the mention of the word socialist because it has such a stigma to it but if you look up the definition of the word you will see that it is an accurate description.

Socialism: any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods.

Socialism. (2009). In Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary.

Retrieved September 19, 2009, from http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/Socialism

Sometimes people forget that the once feared Soviet Union’s real name was the Union of Soviet SOCIALIST Republics (USSR). In fact another definition of socialism can be found on Dictionary.com

Socialism: (in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles.

Socialism. (2005). In American Heritage® New Dictionary of Cultural Literacy.

Retrieved September 19, 2009, from http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/Socialism

This is one of the things that really disturbs me about the modern day Democrat”ic” party. I make the distinction between the Democrat “ic” party and the true Democratic philosophy because the party is anything but Democratic by definition. In their attempt at attaining socialism, they cannot win the argument that socialism is better so they start claiming racism against those that would dare stand up against it. People are opposed to government run healthcare because the government was not meant to work that way. People have seen plenty of examples of how the government’s own bureaucracy tends to make things worse. The government is not driven by financial success and therefore has no incentive to prevent waste. This waste would be done away with in private industry because they need to be competitive. There is no competition in government. Assuming the arguments for government run healthcare are legitimate then 47 million more people would be having tax payer funded insurance. This does not address that there will not be anymore doctors available to serve the extra work load. Secondly the only way to pay for this is to increase taxes dramatically.

People have been dealt bailouts, bogus stimulus packages, and excessive spending by both former President Bush and the current President Barack Obama. All the while being preached to about the economy being in shambles. By definition a recession is when the economy has negative growth for two consecutive quarters. Negative growth means negative income, meaning negative taxes. The last thing that should be done in a negative growth economy is to impose new taxes on them. Raising taxes does just the opposite of growth. Despite this reality, the Democrats have an unprecedented majority in all branches of government that is not likely to happen again for a long time. This is why they are so determined to get this passed despite the negative impact on the economy. They fully understand that if they do not get it this time, then it will be a considerable amount of time before they can have another majority to this degree.

As Margaret Thatcher once said “The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money".

I think we all have a responsibility to be good stewards of the resources around us and that is nothing new. It has always been irresponsible to just waste things and pour pollutants out into the environment so I have no problem with that. Where I have a problem with this “going green” movement is the motivation behind it. This motivation is actually a near religious experience. This motivation is a worship of the earth in more than a just being responsible. Maybe I am misreading this whole issue but when I see the very people that preach to us against Christianity also speaking of going green, I am suspicious. I know some of you think I am just crazy and in some cases I will agree with you there. I clearly remember reading Romans 1:25…

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

This is exactly how I am reading this going green movement. I see people worshipping the earth more than just as being responsible. Again, I am not opposed to just being responsible with the resources available but this environmentalism in my opinion has gone beyond that. You may be asking yourself what brought all this on. Well as soon as I turned the television on this morning, I saw the field reporter telling us about a new “green” car wash in Edmond, Oklahoma. She went on and on about how you can go green too and encouraged college graduates to seek out jobs in the “green industry”. I thought she was almost preaching to us about our responsibility. I was listening intently to see if she would start tell us to go green “uh”, go green “uh” like some television preachers we have seen in the past. Okay I will lighten up but that is one of the things that makes me not want to listen to the media. Instead of telling the news, they are always trying to preach some social agenda.

Disclaimer: I refuse to use the term African-American because it is a seperatist political correctness term. This term is used to separate blacks as separate Americans. I see them as ordinary Americans just like myself.

I hope those that are on talk shows around America have their recorders running on full power this week because we are going to need it in the next few years. The television is buzzing with Oooos and Ahhhhs about the first black president and I guess to a degree it should be expected because after all it is a big moment in our history. The interesting thing about all the celebration is how many white people are doing it. On virtually every television channel you see white people singing the praises of Obama. While I disagree with him on his views I have to acknowledge this is true. According to the United States Census bureau there are only 12 % of the population in the United States that are black. Barack Obama won by 52.9% of the American vote. This means that lots of whites voted for him. Many people of all races voted for him. Assuming that every black person voted for Obama it still would not be enough.

This is something that I have known for a long time though I am certain the media will still forget after this celebration is over. It is not secret that although there are still individuals that are racist, our country is not. In fact there is no faster way to lose your job than to make a racist joke. My point in all this is that after all the celebration is over the media will go back to their one sided coverage of our country being racist. I hope when that time comes, all the talk radio people break out their recorders and play back all the Ooooos and Ahhhhs going on by millions of white people this week. The truth is that we are not a racist country by any stretch of the imagination. Just look at who our heros are. I am in my 40′s so that means I grew up in the 1980′s. During the ’80′s we had Michael Jackson, Prince among others. We had the Cosby Show that was the number one show in America for several years. That was more than 20 years ago. Most whites bend over backwards to prove they are not racist and yet it is portrayed as just the opposite.

In my lifetime I have run across more racist blacks than I have ever seen whites. I have always brushed it off as though they had lived a life of oppression so it made them that way. The world seen through the eyes of a main stream journalist is a grim one. They would have you believe that blacks are unable to live for the oppression of whites. This simply is not true and if they were honest about it, they would have to agree. I say let’s have this equality that we have been preached to our whole lives. I am tired of hearing about it. How about punish those “INDIVIDUALS” that engage in discrimination against blacks and not be broadcasting it to the world for the sole purpose to anger everyone. Journalists will seek through every newspaper in America and find an isolated incident in a small town and it will be on the front pages for weeks all over the United States. They blow things way out of proportion not to educate but to inflame. This is why I have such a low opinion of journalists. I know that surely they are not all that way but the ones I see on television do this all the time. I have heard some of the most outrageous claims over the years that you would believe.

I say let us celebrate this moment as proof that our country is not racist and remember this. Let us write into our history books about how the white people of this country elected the first black president. They did it because he was black. The moral of this story is that white people do not want to oppress blacks. Most white people go out of their way to lift them up. The Republicans get the blame for being racist yet whenever a black person joins the party they are immediately lifted to the top. Just think of Condoleezza Rice and J.C. Watts. The truth is that despite the negative coverage of the media for the sole purpose of angering blacks, most whites want the best for their black neighbors.

I hear concerns every day about the economy. People worry unecessarily all the time because they watch the news. IRead the Rest...

I hear concerns every day about the economy. People worry unecessarily all the time because they watch the news. I am old enough to have experienced several recessions and one thing that always seems to be common with each of them is that the media always says “this one is different” or “this one is going to be the worst”. I highly doubt that this will be the worst. Despite people’s political views if we were honest we would have to admit that the media has a larger impact on our economy than either political party’s policies. The media hates Republicans and therefore will portray everything negative when a Republican is in office. They will beat a dead horse day in and day out until everyone believes the sky is falling. Since they REALLY REALLY hate George Bush, they have gone out of their way to portray the world as even worse this time.

Since they influence people’s opinions and scare people to death this results in a self fulfilling prophecy. People get scared and stop buying resulting in companies losing sales, stocks fall, and all the other events that happen when people are afraid they are going to lose their money. The terrible economy has zero to do with the policies of who is in office. Maybe not zero but I would say very little.

The good news for the economy is that they love Barack Obama. I mean the really love him. When he is inaugurated the media will portray the world as a “world of hope”. The great Obama will fix the woes of the world and all will be well. This is not necessarily true but since the media loves this guy they will get everyone to believe it and they will gain confidence. They will begin to buy again and the economy will grow. The people will believe that Barack Obama is the second coming of Christ (Joke) for fixing all the problems of the world. The end result is that the economy will improve. His policies will have little to no impact on any of this but people will think it will. Most people that follow politicians do not even know what their policies are.

I would not worry too much about the economy as the media has their man and they will have the world thinking we have reached a new Utopia and the people will believe it and start becoming active in the economy. There will always be those on the far left and the far right that will hate or love their respective candidates no matter what the media does but the average person to their own detriment will take the media at face value. This is not an attempt to put down Obama but to point out that the media has a bigger impact on the economy than the the President. They will never admit they have this power but anyone that pays attention knows this.

I know I have posted many times about why I do not like the Associated Press (AP). They have clearly taken sides in the Israeli, Arab battle long ago. This willful misrepresentation of Israel’s self defense is common place. If you read this story located here you will have to go more than half way down the story before you find that Hamas has been sending rockets into Israel for eight days straight before Israel defends itself. Israel waited until more than 300 rockets were sent into their country before defending themselves. If one stumbles on this story posted on Yahoo, they would think that Israel is the agressor and being unfair. The AP does this all the time and they count on people being lazy, not reading the whole story. They count on people just skimming the headline.

The truth is that Israel has been the victim countless times and the AP and the rest of their left wing media misreport the events as though Israel is the agressor. I cannot remember how many times I have heard how some Arab terrorist blows up a bomb in Israel and by the end of the story the media is blaming the victim. They try to paint the picture that Israel is oppressing these Arabs and that the Arabs are only crying out for help. The truth is that these Arabs would have no restrictions whatsoever if they would stop blowing things up. There is not a country of Palestine and there never has been. The Jews have a historical claim on the land of Israel.

In the above picture from the Iris web site you can see the tiny Israel in blue. You can see all the Arab countries surrounding Israel and how wide spread they are. The media and the AP would like you to think that all these countries are victims of tiny Israel. The truth is that this land was given to the Jews by England and solidified by the United Nations. The nation of Israel declared their independence in 1948 and found themselves in a war the very next day. Israel has been attacked on many occasions since. Every country around them wants them dead and somehow the media would have you believe it is Israel’s fault. The land in the middle of the country namely Judea and Samaria often erroneously referred to by the media as the “West Bank” is land that was won fair and square in the Six Day War in 1967. The great city of Jerusalem is in this area. The AP would be quick to point out that Israel attacked first in this war but they will fail to mention that it was only a preemption within hours. Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon had their armies on the borders of Israel ready to attack. For any of those that think that Israel had no claim to this land, the United States won Texas in a similar way.

I really hate posting on this topic because I feel like I have to go through this history lesson over and over again. The truth is that Israel is innocent and they are at the mercy of the United States. Our country is their only protection against being destroyed. Many times our own leaders are too concerned with political correctness to address this issue with honesty. Our own leaders are putting our own nation at risk by not giving Israel our unwavering support. Let us not forget the words in Zechariah 12:3…

And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

You may remember that I posted just last week about how irrelevant the AP is in reporting just about anything. I took a screenshot of Yahoo’s News this morning where it posted an AP story about Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford winning the Heisman Trophy last night. As you can see in the photo above it is titled “Oklahoma’s Bradford wins Heisman Trophy”. You may notice the picture included in the story is Colt McCoy, the Texas quarterback and the media’s love child. This is pretty typical of what you see day to day with the media. They are so angry that the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) has rated the Sooners number one by computers. They are so enamoured by the South Eastern Conference (SEC) and their poster boy that they cannot eve bring themselves to put the winner’s picture on the story that bares his name. Their dislike of the Sooners is displayed by their putting Mr. McCoy’s picture on there after we have heard about how Texas was cheated by the BCS. As I spoke before, there is no legitimate way to see who is the best when you only play a team once. Anyone can have a bad day. Again, the sports aspect of this is not that big a deal for me but rather the lack of objectivity on the news.

This should not surprise anyone as the AP is typical of the main stream media’s agenda reporting. I have noticed an overwhelming bias against Israel with the AP. Their vicious hatred for Israel is only surpassed by their hatred of anyone with conservative values. You can pick your topic and the AP will purposely only tell the side of the story that benefits their cause. They will misrepresent any cause they disagree with and never apologize when they get it wrong. They get it wrong more than they get it right so I can understand this because they would be apologizing all the time. I am not a crazy sports fan like many Sooner fans are but this story is just as blatant as they come.

This is precisely why I listen to virtually every news story I hear with skepticism. I rarely take what I hear on the news at face value even when it is on video. This is because they edit the videos to only show the parts that benefit their cause. An example of this is their coverage of the Rodney King beating. They only show the part where the police are beating him. They neglect to show the part where he was assaulting the police just prior to this. They barely even mention less than a year later that Rodney King was arrested for trying to run over a police officer in his car. Rodney King is a career criminal that was used as a tool for the media to complete their mission to drive a wedge between groups of people. In this case the entire agenda was to rile up the black population while failing to report the entire story.

I could go on all day citing events that are deliberately misreported by the left wing media and the AP. The purpose of this post is to illustrate examples of their blatant bias. I do not dwell on this too much because all it serves to do is keep everyone upset all the time. I think it is worthy of pointing out though I would not allow yourself to be sucked into their game. The media is not neutral in their reporting. They will almost always support the liberal side of story and belittle those of conservative Christian values. I would suggest you watch them with a critical eye as well and you will see it also.

I have been seeing a lot of logos all over Facebook about something called Lifeshare. I stumbled on someone’s post saying they were about to go live so I clicked on the link and found over 100 people gathered to watch a live video stream of several people talking about how they have a dream to use our online spaces to spread the word about Jesus. This site appears to be a service of Lifechurch, a multicampus church that is just telecasting one Pastor to multiple places over a television. I was intrigued so I kept watching. They said a few prayers and gave examples of how their online presence could be used to share the good news of Jesus. Some were using Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, blogs, and a new toy called Gospelr. Gospelr is a microblogging service simalar to Twitter but geared toward sharing the gospel among others. This service even interfaces with Twitter so that when you send a message on Gospelr it also sends it on Twitter adding a watermark “Gospelr” at the end. It must be something if it made it on the front page of Techcrunch, a technology related blog.

While I am sometimes skeptical about methods like this that can be confused with conforming to the world, I am willing to give them a chance if they are Christ centered and preach Christ as the only way to salvation. Being someone that is naturally attracted to new technology related toys, I always try these things out. I must say that I was impressed by the enthusiam the group had for sharing the gospel. At first I was afraid the motivation may be to spread their group and the toys, using Jesus instead of the other way around. I did not leave with that impression. I enjoyed myself enough that I plan on participating again. I love to learn about Jesus through the Bible. One resource that I have found that is amazing is the teaching series of Les Feldick. He starts in Genesis, and goes right through Revelation. He makes a point to tell you if something is his opinion or scriptural. I want to use our online presence to spread the gospel as well and not be tempted to get carried away with the toys and forget why we are on.

My church, Eastpointe Community Church is similar to Lifechurch and has a similar style. I feel comfortable in this type of environment. I think we have such a huge platform, that it is ashamed to waste it. I find myself bashing the media for bias. Maybe instead of bashing it, we should join it and change it from within. Is there any rule that says Jesus can not be on the media? As one Pastor said once, instead of cursing the darkness, shine a light. Maybe these guys have a good idea. I will keep checking it out. Well it is getting late so I better get this posted.

DISCLAIMER: I voted for George W. Bush both times. I have been very disappointed in his leadership by allowing this war in Iraq to run his eight years and not get any conservative agendas past. I think his lack of willingness, or ability to take a stand at the media and Democrats under the guise of the “New Tone” has made things worse. I think he is not conservative enough.

I just loaded the Yahoo front page and happened to notice the headlines listed as you can see above. This is reminescent of the 2000 presidential campaign where the media willingly swallowed the pill of the fabricated stories of voter fraud and racism. Reach back into your memories when during the 2000 election George W. Bush won the vote count. Our good friend Al Gore immediately tried to do recounts in selected counties that he believed supported him. He was not concerned with fairness or he would have demanded a full recount in Florida. Weeks before the election we kept hearing to watch Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Before the voting had concluded the left wing media started screaming about voter fraud that the ballot was so confusing that the clearly mental deficient Palm Beach residents voted for the wrong guy. To this day it amazes me the depths the left wing media followed this story as though there was any credibility whatsoever. They had a marketing firm out of Texas calling people before the polling places even closed telling people there was voter fraud. We were told how the minorities were being turned away from the polls which is about as typical liberal trick is there is. People say prostitution is the oldest profession? They need to look at the liberal political ways.

The first recount favored George W. Bush. The second recount favored George W. Bush in a smaller majority. The third recount was finally stopped by the Supreme Court. Immediately we started hearing from the left wingers that George W. Bush stole the election. When you look at the situation, if it were not so serious it would be laughable. The very people that were trying to cheat so they could get their guy in and failed after three recounts accused the winner of stealing the election. We have listened to this nonsense for eight years. The truth is that IF there was fraud, it was on their side. They are the ones that ALWAYS oppose requiring an ID to vote. In typical fassion they claim it hurts the minorities and poor. Every time there is an initiative to change voting methods to eliminate these fabricated voting fraud stories they oppose it. They are the ones that insist on allowing illegal immigrants to vote. They are the ones that insist on allowing fellons to vote. The reason for this is that they know these people will vote Democrat.

The above photo is evidence of the Democrats and their good buddies in the media are planning on doing this again. The first story tells of a major shift in white women to McCain. The media has been bragging for some time that Obama had this group locked up. This story is followed by the story of 300,000 people in New Jersey being told they are not registered. Do you see what is beginning? I am certain the Democrats are already signing the contract with the telemarking firm to make calls before the polls close to warn of voter fraud. This way if they lose, they can start their screaming about nonexistant voter fraud. Why wouldn’t they? I mean it worked so well last time. The in typical fashion media has followed the Democrat line and not question any of these unfounded claims. They never do as indicated by this humorous satiracal video about how Larry King does not even question stupid claims.

This video is not new but it illustrates how the liberals can claim ANYTHING and the media does not question the validity. The first time I heard this about ten years ago I was so amazed at how realistic this really is. Anyway, this should be interesting to see how it turns out.

As I listen to the national media cover the primaries, it becomes more evident that they just do not understand conservatives. This also includes some of the leaders in the Republican party. They think that if John McCain says the right things, the conservatives will surround him. They think that most conservatives will want to prevent the Democrats from winning so bad that they will support who ever the Republican nominee is. I know those that would but those are die hard Republicans, not die hard conservatives. There is a huge difference and that is where the media misses the point.

True conservatives, particularly those that are social conservatives like me are true to conservatism, not the Republican party. The recent past has shown them to be the same people but that is because Republicans were saying the right things and then once they get in office, they forget those that put them there. I am tired of accepting the attitude that we must support the Republican nominee to prevent the liberal Democrat from winning. Look, John McCain is a liberal and refuses to give up the Republican title. He does not represent conservatives. In fact, Mr. McCain goes out of his way on every opportunity to betray conservatives. He has done this since 1994 and he will not be able to win us over with a few words.

We know who John McCain is will never vote for him. I cannot vote for John McCain, or Mrs. Clinton. I would rather not vote for Obama either but if it comes down to McCain and Obama, I will actually vote for Obama to prevent McCain from winning. I have not lost my mind. I think that if you are going to get a liberal, I would rather have one that admits he is one rather than have one that pretends to be someone else and then betrays us. The Republican party has forgotten that their base is the conservatives. I think it is time to remind them they cannot depend on our vote simply on the fear the liberal Democrat may win. I say, we must hold our elected officials accountable and make them represent their constituencies or be removed from office.

Please do not misread this by saying that I support the Democrats running, but rather feel that it is time to use this inevitable loss to clean house and remove some liberal Republicans and replace them with some real conservatives. I voted for George W. Bush both times and he spends more money than the liberal Democrats. We do not need any more big government Republicans. If Mrs. Clinton gets the nomination, I will not vote. If Obama gets the nomination, I will vote for him. The only chance John McCain has to win the general election is if the those that are racist or against women in the Democrat party vote for him. I will certainly not be for the conservatives.
This practice that encouraged by Carl Rove to vote for McCain using fear of Mrs. Clinton winning will not work this time. We are tired of being used that way. It will not work with me for sure.
